Engineering Study Groups
Engineering Study Groups is an Engineering Ambassador-led program that is part of the College of Engineering. The program organizes first-year students in all realms of STEM into study groups to facilitate better study habits, accountability, and collaboration among peers. Study Groups are an excellent opportunity for students to meet other STEM students to work on homework, go over lecture notes, and study for tests.
Studies have shown that students absorb material a lot better through collaboration. As a part of a study group, students will:
- Fill in any gaps in their understanding
- Gain a new perspective on the material
- Strengthen their understanding by teaching others
- Reduce their potential to procrastinate
- Break the monotony of studying alone
