Reese Cole

Hey everyone! My name is Reese Cole and I’m a junior studying Biological Engineering. In addition to Engineering Ambassadors, I am also the secretary for my engineering society chapter at NC State, the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). This past summer I had the opportunity to intern at WithersRavenel right here in Raleigh, NC, working with the stormwater team! During my internship, I got to learn all about the stormwater infrastructure throughout North Carolina as well as help design stormwater control measures using various software applications. Along with my internship, I also made several trips out to the Outer Banks where I got to watch lovely sunsets and find all sorts of seashells (which are my favorite). Looking forward to another amazing year at State. Go Pack!

Eleanor Meinhold

Hi! My name is Eleanor Meinhold. I’m a Junior studying Biological and Agricultural Engineering with a concentration in Ecological Engineering. My on-campus involvement include the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, InspirENGRs, Alpha Phi Omega, and the Park Scholarships. Anna Tran

Hi everyone! My name is Anna Tran, and I am a sophomore in Biomedical Engineering. In addition to serving as an Engineering Ambassador, I am also a part of the Vietnamese Student Association’s Dance Committee. Outside of work and school, I volunteer at my local church, read, play games, and I love spending time with my friends!

Dylainie Charlery

Hello! My name is Dylainie Charlery and I am a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering and International Studies. Besides being an Engineering Ambassador, I am also involved in the Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program and the National Society of Black Engineers. I also used to volunteer at a nearby hospital. I love to read, write, travel, and meet new people! 

Duke Lewis

My name is Duke Lewis, I am a third-year undergraduate student in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biomolecular. I have three minors in Business Entrepreneurship, Philosophy, and Biotechnology. Outside of classes I serve as an EA, as well as being the membership chair for NC State Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and a member of the Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP). This past summer I completed an internship with Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies at their new $3.2 billion dollar site out in Holly Springs. When I finally decide to pull myself away from campus I like to read, listen to music, create digital art, and just take some time to enjoy nature.

Emma Carpenter

Hello! My name is Emma Carpenter and I am a Junior studying Chemical Engineering with a biomolecular concentration and a math minor. At NC State, I am involved in the Engineers Without Borders solar energy team and I also serve as treasurer for Club Beach Volleyball. I have participated in research in the biotechnology program on campus and completed an internship at Vestaron. I love to read, hike, and play sports in my free time. Go Pack!!

Hayden Ni

Hi Wolfpack! My name is Hayden Ni and I am a junior studying Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biomanufacturing. I am also pursuing a minor in Food Science! On campus I am involved in Engineering Ambassadors which has given me the opportunity to be a Teaching Assistant for E101 and E102. Additionally, I am a part of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) where I am the Social and Publicity Chair! Outside of school, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, reading, watercolor painting, and listening to Taylor Swift!

Isabel Dupreez

Hi everyone! My name is Isabel Dupreez (I go by Izzy!), and I am a junior studying Chemical Engineering. I am from Greensboro, NC. In addition to being an Engineering Ambassador, I am a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and serve on the executive board as VP of Administration. I also participate in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and I am a TA for E102. Outside of school, I love being with friends, going for walks, camping, hiking, cooking, and traveling.

Tochukwu “TK” Aniekwensi

Hello, I am Tochukwu “TK” Aniekwensi. I am in my second year here at NCSU, majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. I am deeply involved with the National Society of Black Engineers, Engineers Without Borders, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers chapters here on campus. A fun fact about me is that I have been lifting weights for 6+ years! I hope to see y’all around and always feel free to say hello!

Hailey Jones

Hi everyone! My name is Hailey Jones and I am from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I am a 5th year majoring in Civil Engineering on the Structural Engineering track and minoring in Landscape Architecture, Psychology, and Business Administration. At NC State, I am a member of the hunt seat equestrian team, I have participated in the choral ensembles, and I work at the campus Wellness and Recreation center as a Fitness Assistant and Climbing Wall Specialist. During the past spring and summer semesters, I interned at e.construct, a high-rise structural engineering firm based in Dubai, and will continue working with them during this school year. I’m looking forward to another great year at NC State! Go Pack!

Lizzie Carson

My name is Lizzie Carson and I am a junior majoring in Civil Engineering. I am also majoring in Political Science through the Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program. I am also involved in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), The Power Sound of the South (marching band), and a TA CSC 111 (Python). In my free time I enjoy hiking, cooking feasts, and playing tennis.

Hello everyone! My name is Lori Woodrum, and I am a sophomore studying Civil Engineering from Denver, NC. At NC State, I have participated in the Power Sound of the South Marching Band and our yearbook organization, Agromeck. In my free time, I am a Colorguard Instructor at a high school in Clayton, NC. Hello friends! I am a junior in Civil Engineering with a minor in Spanish. Currently, I am a member of the University Honors program, Grand Challenge Scholars Program, American Society of Civil Engineers, and State Chorale. Sara Watkins

Hi! My name is Sara Watkins and I am a 5th year, Dec ‘24 grad, majoring in Civil Engineering from Hickory, NC. I’ve been a member of National Society of Black engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a former officer for Women in Transportation. I’m involved with Antioch Campus ministry and the music department. During my summers I’ve interned at three different civil engineering firms in the Raleigh area. If I have free time I enjoy running around campus or sitting down to paint.

What’s up, Wolfpack! My name is Nikolai Cichy, and I’m a sophomore studying construction engineering from Mooresville, NC. In addition to serving as an Engineering Ambassador, I am a Teaching Assistant for our Intro to Engineering Classes! I am also involved around campus as a member of our Men’s Rugby team, Theta Chi Fraternity, and the Real Estate Investment Club. Alondra Valdes

Hey Wolfpack! My name is Alondra, and I’m a sophomore majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. Along with being an Engineering Ambassador, I’m on the iOS team in the App Development Club and an active SHPE member. Outside of academics, I love spending time at the beach, hanging out with friends and family, and baking!

Bel Javorski

Hey! My name is Bel Javorski and I’m a current sophomore in Computer Science from Chapel Hill, NC. I am a part of multiple groups on campus, but I especially enjoy playing on the Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee team, volunteering in my service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, and participating in activities in the Women in Computer Science Club! In my spare time, I love reading, backpacking, and spending time outdoors. 

Cindy Sun

Hey everyone! My name is Cindy, and I am a junior majoring in computer science with double minors in data science and cognitive science. Within the engineer ambassador program, I serve as the on-campus outreach team lead and a TA for E101/E102. In addition, I am also the Vice President of Alpha Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc., which is an Asian-interest organization, and a member of Women in Computer Science and Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers. This summer, I had the opportunity to intern as a software engineer at Fidelity Investments. Outside of school, I like to run, do jigsaw puzzles, and cafe hop. I am super excited to serve as an engineering ambassador for a second year and give back to the College of Engineering!

David Lee

Hey everyone! My name is David Lee, a third year majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Psychology. Outside of serving as an Engineering Ambassador, I am also a part of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Women and Minority Engineering Program (WMEP), Engineering Village, a Student Advancement and Retention Teams (START) mentor, and a brother of The Great Xi Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. Outside of classes, I enjoy playing several Intramural Sports including basketball, flag football, soccer, kickball, and volleyball. I also enjoy playing video games, eating good food, and spending quality time with friends and family. 

Sonia Akkiangadi

Hi Wolfpack!! My name is Sonia Akkiangadi and I am a junior majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Game Development and a minor in Cognitive Science. As an Engineering Ambassador, I primarily work within the FEDD, EOYG, and Fall/Spring Recruitment teams and am our head photographer of events. I’ve also TA-ed both E101 and E102! Some of my other on-campus involvement includes playing the flute and piccolo in the marching and symphonic bands, being an active member of Alpha Phi Omega (a co-ed service fraternity), and being an active SWE member. Outside of school, I love to travel, rock climb, go to concerts, and yap with my friends!

Hello! My name is Zeeshawn Hasnain, and I am a third year student from Winston-Salem, NC majoring in Computer Science and Statistics. Outside of being an Engineering Ambassador, I am involved in bioinformatics research, I am the Vice President of the Pakistani Student Association, and I am in the App Development Club here at NC State. Alina V. Roach

Hi! I am Alina V. Roach, a junior in Computer Engineering with a passion for technology, fashion, mental wellness, and entrepreneurship. These interests converge in the exciting field of wearables. I’m honored to be a Shelton National Leadership Scholar and a part of Every Nation Campus. I am a member of Women in Electrical and Computer Engineering (WiECE) and Society of Women Engineers (SWE). In the National Society of Black Engineers, I serve on the Executive Board as the Technical Outreach Community Help (TORCH) Chair. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing volleyball, creating jewelry, and motivating others.

Joey Guevara

Hello! I’m Joey Guevara, a junior studying Electrical and Computer Engineering and I am from Kernersville, NC. On top of being an engineer ambassador, I am also involved in the Grand Challenge Scholars Program, the Chancellor’s Leadership Development Program, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. I also participate in intramural sports such as soccer and volleyball. Outside of school, I like to hang out with friends, watch and play sports, and work out.

Josh Hanflink

Hey Wolfpack! My name is Josh Hanflink, and I am a sophomore in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Greensboro, NC. Neil Sood

Hello! My name is Neil Sood and I’m in my third year pursuing a dual degree in Computer & Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Renewable Electric Energy Systems. I’m originally from Rochester, NY, but I live in Kernersville, NC. Outside of being an Engineering Ambassador, I’m involved in Grand Challenge Scholars, the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, and the Society of Sales Engineers. Theodore Nguyen

Hello everyone, I am Theo and I am a junior in electrical and computer engineering major. Outside of being an engineering ambassador, I am a STEM Coach in the Goodnight Scholars program, doing undergraduate research, and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. I enjoy trying out new sports, playing games, watching movies, hanging out, and traveling. I primarily play soccer but very much enjoy volleyball. I plan on studying abroad eventually and hope to be able to study in Japan.

Angela Johns

Hi everyone! My name is Angela Johns and I’m a senior studying Electrical Engineering. In addition to being an EA, I am also a member of the University Honors Program, Society of Women Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and Club Gymnastics. Last spring semester I studied abroad in Cork, Ireland and I love traveling. I have also done an undergraduate research fellowship with the ASSIST Center working with biosensors. Last summer, I worked as an Electrical Product Engineering Intern at John Deere. This summer, I worked as a Test Engineering Intern for Wolfspeed. For fun, I love board games and watching sports, especially football, basketball, and gymnastics.

Ayisha Islam

Hello! My name is Ayisha Islam, and I am a sophomore from Cary, NC majoring in electrical engineering and possibly minoring in Arabic! On campus, I am an Outreach Chair of WIECE (Woman in Electrical and Computer Engineering) and proud to be a member of the Caldwell Fellows and the Muslim Student Association. Devin Roberts

Hey everyone! My name is Devin and I’m a senior majoring in electrical engineering. Other than being an ambassador, I’m involved in the National Society of Black Engineers, the Goodnight Scholars Program, and completed undergraduate research on wearable biosensors. I’m in the accelerated bachelors/masters program in ECE. I’ve also completed internships with Duke Energy and International Paper. I enjoy traveling, especially through the Alternative Service Breaks at NC State, and I like playing video games.

Alyssa Peterson

Hey Wolfpack! My name is Alyssa Peterson and I am a Junior in Industrial & Systems Engineering. Within the Engineering Ambassadors, I serve as the lead of Weekly Communications, a member of the EOYG team as well as Fall Recruitment, and I have been a TA for both E101 and E102. On top of being an Engineering Ambassador, I also participate in a few other on-campus activities. I am a part of the Society of Sales Engineers, SWE, the Celtic Wolves (Irish Dance team), and the crochet club. Additionally, I am in Alpha Phi Omega which is a co-ed fraternity that does service projects on campus and in the Raleigh area. Outside of school, I love to travel, read, and go to concerts. I am so thankful to be a part of the Engineering Ambassador and help contribute back to the community and our wolfpack!

Hi! My name is Grace Jaeger-Sandruck; I am a junior studying Industrial and Systems Engineering and French. As an Engineering Ambassador, I am involved on Open house, TA, EA meetings, and Info sessions team. Liana Lessard

Hey Wolfpack, my name is Liana Lessard! I am a senior here at NC State studying Industrial and Systems Engineering. Within the Engineering Ambassador team, I love to work outreach events and I serve as a teaching assistant for first-year engineering students. At NC State, I have been a member of Greek life for the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha, the Raleigh Civic Symphony – Violin, the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, and the Society of Women Engineers. I also participated in a study abroad program in Perugia, Italy during the summer session with my brother! Throughout college, I’ve participated in the Co-op program with Novo Nordisk as an Automation Engineering Co-op, and a Raw Materials Process Engineering Co-op. This past summer I interned with Southeastern Grocers in Florida as an Operations Intern. In my free time, I enjoy going for walks and supporting our Wolfpack sports teams!

Kamryn Overcash

Hi! My name is Kamryn Overcash and I am a junior studying Industrial & Systems Engineering. I am a new Engineering Ambassador (EA) and am currently a Teaching Assistant for Engineering in the 21st Century (E102). I am hoping to become more involved in K-12 outreach and explore all of the opportunities available as an EA. This past summer I interned for Lowe’s Companies as a Field Industrial Engineer within their Supply Chain team which allowed me to implement the skills I have learned in my classes. Outside of class and EAs, I am a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and The District Dance Collective. I have a wide variety of hobbies so feel free to reach out if we share any!

Ariel Nguyen

Hello! My name is Ariel Nguyen, and I am a sophomore from Sanford, NC majoring in Materials Science and Engineering! On top of being an Engineering Ambassador, I am currently a mentor for the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Village and have previously worked with The Engineering Place as a counselor at the residential summer camps! Outside of class and work, I enjoy building Lego (love the botanical collection), reading sci-fi and fantasy, and baking!

Paige Ray

Hi! My name is Paige, I’m a senior studying Aerospace Engineering and I’m from Clayton, NC. Aside from being an EA, I am also a member of SEDS, the Athletic Bands (Marching Band and Pep Band) where I serve as one of the trombone section leaders, and I am a member of the NCSU Trombone Ensemble. I have also been researching Morphing Hypersonic Propulsion Systems in the Turbulent Shear Flow Lab on MAE West. Outside school and work I like to crochet, hike, and read!

Alex Petersen

Hello! My name is Alex Peterson, and I am a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering from Greenville, NC. Outside of being an engineering ambassador, I am a member of the University Honors Program at NC State and perform in the symphonic band. My hobbies include rock climbing, running, woodworking, and hanging out with friends!

Anna Haskins

Hi everyone! I’m Anna Haskins, a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Textile Engineering. Aside from being an Engineering Ambassador, I am the Vice President of Public Relations for the Society of Women Engineers, I am a Teacher’s Assistant for the first-year engineering courses E101/E102, a Grand Challenge Scholar and I do various intramural sports. This past summer, I worked at ABB as an R&D Engineer and got to work on designing new switchgear stacks. Throughout my time at NC State, I have studied abroad, conducted summer research in the Nanomechanics Lab, attended 6 conferences (yay EYE funding) and have been to over 50 NCSU sporting events, go wolfpack!

Angela Lee

Hi, I’m Angela Lee and I am a Senior in Mechanical and Textiles Engineering. I am part of the Engineering Grand Challenge Scholars at NC State with a focus on the challenge of making solar energy more economical. I prinmarly do research with thin film flexible organic solar cells, where I work with the start-up PolyPV. In my free time I fence saber with NC State Fencing Club and I plan on competing in lots of competitions this year!

Eduardo Sanchez

Hi everyone! My name is Eduardo Sanchez and I am a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to being an engineering ambassador, I am also a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, the treasurer for the Mexican-American Student Association, a part of the Chancellor’s Leadership Development Program, and participate in intramural soccer. Maya Abuhamdeh

Hi everyone! My name is Maya Abuhamdeh and I am from Sterling, Virginia. I am a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. In addition to being an Engineering Ambassador, I am also a coordinator on the Engineering Career Fair team and a member of the professional engineering fraternity, Theta Tau. Outside of school I love going to concerts, baking, hiking, and spending time with my friends and family!

Shivani Karanth

Hey Wolfpack! My name is Shivani Karanth, and I am a senior studying Mechanical Engineering. In addition to being an EA, I am also involved in InspirENGR, Helping Hands, the MoBL lab, and have conducted three REUs – two year long MAE REUs and one summer REU at Duke University. I am also a part of Social Innovation Fellows, GCSP, and the University Honors Program. In previous summers, I have worked as a NCSU residential summer camp counselor, worked a Grand Challenges REU in the ECE department at Duke University, and interned at Eli Lilly and Company in their Parenteral Engineering Department. Outside of school, I love to explore Raleigh for new coffee locations, dance (Indian Classical Dance, Kathak), work out, read, and watch Criminal Minds.

Zaire Garner

Hi, my name is Zaire Garner and I am a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I aspire to work in the field of robotics and automation after graduation. Here on campus, I’m an Outreach Ambassador for Goodnight Scholarships, as well as a member of National Society of Black Engineers, Best Buddies, and the Black Male Initiative. Outside of school, I’m an experienced hobby hopper, with some of my favorites being music production, skateboarding, and playing video games.

Evan Xavier

Hey everyone, my name is Evan Xavier and I am a junior in Nuclear Engineering with minors in mathematics and philosophy. Outside of the Engineering Ambassador team I have completed research on the chemical impacts of plasma interactions, and I am a lead mentor for the Women and Minority in Engineering Program’s mentorship program. Additionally I am conducting research under them studying the effects of programmatic efforts on building a sense of community within the underrepresented minority, engineering, and collegiate population. In my free time I enjoy reading, tending to my plants, and playing video games!

Sam Raleigh

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha Raleigh, and I’m a junior majoring in nuclear engineering. I’m thrilled to be serving as an Engineering Ambassador this year! Over the past year, I’ve enjoyed working as a teaching assistant for E101 and E102. Beyond these roles, I’m actively involved on campus with Best Buddies, Women In Nuclear, and the American Nuclear Society. This summer, I interned at Dominion Energy as a reactor engineer, earning certifications in flux map analysis and calculations while assisting with periodic maintenance tests and a startup. Last summer, I was an Advanced Energy Intern at TRC, where I analyzed energy loads for Logan International Airport. Outside of school, I love hiking, practicing hot yoga, and going to concerts.
