Academic Affairs CARE Campaign

Finding the right words can be hard under any circumstances, and that is okay, which is why we want to connect with you and make it easier for you to reach out to us.

When words escape you, share your heart.

What To Do

Send your chosen heart emoji to the staff or faculty member of your choice and let them know how you are doing. We would love to hear from you and provide resources to you if needed.

💚 = I’m doing great!

💙 = I’m doing well.

💛 = I’m okay, I guess.

🧡 = I’m struggling.

❤️ = I’m in a really bad place.

You don’t have to say anything, simply “share your heart” in the subject of your email and send to one of the Faculty/Staff members listed below and they will be sure to reach out to you!

Who To Reach Out To

We want to ensure you have what you need for a mental health emergency.

For after-hours mental health emergencies, please call, text, or chat the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.

You may also call 919.515.2423 and select option #2 to speak with an on-call counselor.

Faculty and Staff Volunteers

If you are not experiencing a crisis, please reach out via the Share Your Heart Email Campaign or connect with anyone wearing a gold safety pin.
