Faculty Senior Scholarship

The Faculty Senior Scholarship is awarded to a rising senior in the College of Engineering who exemplifies academic excellence, intellectual breadth, and depth of character. The Faculty Senior Scholar is selected through an interview process that includes a student nominee from each academic department.

Shining Star

  • Carlos Banegas

The Shining Star Award is presented to the student who consistently supports the programs hosted by the WMEP office. This student willingly and sincerely gives their time and energy to support the mission and goals of WMEP. We can count on this student to help out whenever called upon.

Building Bridges

The Building Bridges Award is presented to the student whose community service both on and off campus supports the mission of WMEP and makes the spaces they operate in more welcoming and inclusive.

Most Supportive Faculty or Staff Member

  • Dr. Julio Terán

The Most Supportive Faculty or Staff Member Award recognizes an inspirational faculty/staff member that, through their actions and contributions, they help recruit, develop, and uplift women and under-represented students to excel academically and professionally.

Corporate Partner of the Year

  • GE

The Corporate Partner of the Year Award recognizes corporate partners who have made significant efforts to provide professional insight and advice to help develop the next generation of engineering leaders. They have volunteered their time, effort and/or resources to support WMEP in promoting professional development and career advancement opportunities within the engineering profession to help our students succeed beyond their time at NC State. Today, we recognize the exceptionally strong and gifted supporters from GE.
