Alberto Quiroga
Biography
Alberto Quiroga, a proud Wolfpack alumni, is an experienced leader in supply chain and operations, focusing on process improvement and strategic planning. He holds an MBA in Business Analytics from Wake Forest University and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University, where he was honored with the Robert Holmes Hammond Award for leadership and achievement.
Currently, Alberto is the Supply Chain Strategy Lead at Signia Aerospace, where he leads global sourcing strategies, cost-saving initiatives, and develops automation tools for the Next Generation Rescue Hoist Pegasus® program. He’s been recognized and awarded multiple times for his contributions and leadership.
Alberto began his career at Raytheon Technologies (RTX), in the Collins Aerospace subsidiary, working in aircraft interior design and later, at Pratt & Whitney, on the F135 military engine program. His work on this program earned him the prestigious Eagle Award for his significant impact on process efficiency. Throughout his career, he’s worked on a variety of complex projects, always focusing on improving efficiency, saving costs, and driving performance. His work in the aerospace industry has included leading multiple process improvement initiatives.
Outside of work, Alberto is committed to giving back to his community. He recently served as a member of Rotary International and currently serves as the Executive Chair of the NC State College of Engineering Young Alumni Advisory Board, where he supports initiatives to engage alumni and help students. He’s passionate about mentoring and tutoring the next generation, particularly by continuously helping K-12 students with math, science, and career advice. As a first-generation American, Alberto is especially dedicated to supporting diversity in engineering and has founded and led Hispanic Employee Resource Groups at both Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney.
Alberto is also working on starting a non-profit, Community2, which aims to bring hands-on STEM opportunities to underserved communities in North Carolina.
When he’s not working, Alberto enjoys spending time with his wife, Krysta, and their two rescue puppies. He’s a fan of traveling and hiking, playing racquetball, supporting NC State athletics, and adding to his ever-growing LEGO collection – much to his wife’s dismay.
With his background in engineering, supply chain strategy, and process management, Alberto continues to make meaningful contributions to the aerospace industry while fostering his passion for mentoring future leaders.
