Engineers and Researchers
Want To Do Outreach?
We would love to have you join us because we need your expertise to help prepare a diverse and talented generation of pre-college students to enter the engineering workforce. We are also a great resource to collaborate with on pilot programs, supporting and integrating into grant proposals.
If you are interested in volunteering to share your engineering expertise and experience with K-20 students and teachers, please send an email to coe-theengineeringplace@ncsu.edu.
Broader Impacts
With a growing emphasis on disseminating research to a broader audience, we can help support you with your NSF, Federal, and State grant broader impact (BI) proposals. Successful grant proposals are becoming more competitive, and the broader impact sections can become the funding tipping point.
As members of the Advancing Research in Society organization, we have experience in developing and implementing BI proposals. Please contact us very early in the development process to allow collaboration time in developing a competitive proposal. The NC State Libraries has created a detailed BI resource page to help researchers develop their Societal Impact sections of grants. We are happy to address any questions regarding the content.
