Franky So receives 2024 Jan Rajchman Prize

The U.S. Society for Information Display (SID) annually awards the Jan Rajchman Prize for outstanding scientific or technical achievement or pioneering research contributions to electronic display technology. Since 1993, the $5,000 prize has been presented by the SID Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Honors and Awards Committee.

Brenner elected 2024 MRS Fellow

Donald Brenner, Kobe Steel Distinguished Professor in the North Carolina State University Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), has been named a 2024 Materials Research Society (MRS) fellow. This prestigious honor recognizes Brenner for his pioneering contributions to materials modeling and his broader impact on the materials community, including studies that have helped shape major research directions in the United States.

NC State and University Mohammed VI Polytechnic announce MOU to advance phosphorus sustainability

NC State University (Raleigh, NC) and the University Mohammed IV Polytechnic (UM6P; Ben Guerir, Morocco) are pleased to announce that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to pursue collaborative research projects and expand educational and training opportunities in phosphorus (P) sustainability.

Scholarship, professorship honor late Wolfspeed founder

John Palmour and his wife, Nancy Palmour, a 1985 alumna of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, had previously established the Palmour Family College of Engineering Fellowship Endowment and the Palmour Family Extraordinary Opportunity Scholarship Endowment for engineering students.
