The Character Innovation Workshop is a faculty development event focused on integrating character and ethical dimensions into teaching and learning. Grounded in principles similar to Duke’s Character Forward initiative—which helps faculty thoughtfully embed character and ethics into engineering curricula—the workshop invites participants to explore how character development can be intentionally cultivated alongside technical and disciplinary outcomes. Participants will engage with strategies for designing learning experiences that help students act with purpose, responsibility, and ethical awareness in complex educational and real-world contexts.
