Scholarship endowment honors longtime Forest Biomaterials professor Peter Hart

WestRock has partnered with the College of Natural Resources to celebrate the legacy of Peter Hart, an adjunct associate professor of forest biomaterials at NC State for the last two decades.

North Carolina State University announces new scholarship funded by alumni Rhett & Link

The scholarship, titled “The Rhett & Link Engineering Innovation Scholarship Fund,” will be available to third- and fourth-year engineering students who demonstrate commitment to innovation and creativity in engineering, sciences, the arts, entertainment or the intersection of these disciplines. One student will hold the scholarship for two years.

Brown family makes transformational gift

Computer science alumnus and Hall of Fame inductee Tony McLean Brown and the Brown family recently made a $1 million pledge to the Department of Computer Science (CSC) to create a named distinguished professorship, a named graduate fellowship and a named undergraduate scholarship.

Bilbro Faculty Senior Award honors student resilience

Griff Bilbro, who passed away in 2016, left a mark on hundreds of NC State University students, especially those in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), where he worked for 32 years.

Scholarship, professorship honor late Wolfspeed founder

John Palmour and his wife, Nancy Palmour, a 1985 alumna of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, had previously established the Palmour Family College of Engineering Fellowship Endowment and the Palmour Family Extraordinary Opportunity Scholarship Endowment for engineering students. 

Past Graduate Research Fellows and Undergraduate Research Scholars conducted impressive research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
