From the NC State Engineering Foundation Board of Directors

The NC State Engineering Foundation (NCSEF) was established in 1944 to aid and promote, by financial assistance and otherwise, engineering education and research at NC State. A board of directors made up of alumni and friends of the College of Engineering works with the college advancement staff and the dean of engineering to set the Foundation’s agenda.

From the board: NCSEF Board of Directors takes action to grow women leadership

The NC State Engineering Foundation (NCSEF) Board of Directors has been taking deliberate steps to invite more women and minorities to serve on the board. Today, nine of the 28 members of the NCSEF board are women, and women chair four of its seven committees.

NC State Engineering Foundation surpasses campaign goals

With the Think and Do the Extraordinary Campaign at its end, the College of Engineering raised almost $268 million over the course of five years, an incredible outpouring of generosity from our dedicated alumni and friends in support of undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships, professorships, improved facilities and the programs that make our student experiences exceptional, such as the Women and Minority Engineering Programs.

Questions for Suzanne S. Gordon

This spring, Suzanne S. Gordon will become the first woman to serve as president of the NC State Engineering Foundation Board of Directors. She holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and mathematics and a master’s degree in statistics, all from NC State. She retired from SAS Institute in 2012 as chief information officer.
