Hermine Kabbendjian, director of program administration in the Department of Nuclear Engineering, has received a 2011 Governor’s Award for Excellence. The award is the highest honor a state employee can receive.

Dr. Raymond L. Murray, professor emeritus of nuclear engineering at North Carolina State University and a pioneer of the atomic age, died on June 22.

Cacuci receives 2011 ANS Arthur Holly Compton Award

Dr. Dan Gabriel Cacuci, professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at North Carolina State University, has received the 2011 Arthur Holly Compton Award from the American Nuclear Society (ANS). This award honors outstanding contributions to education in nuclear science and engineering.
