Gilligan to step down from executive associate dean role

John Gilligan will step down from his role as executive associate dean of the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University on Sept. 1, 2023, and return to the nuclear engineering faculty.

College of Engineering advances in U.S. News graduate rankings

The 2023-24 rankings, released on April 25, show NC State’s College of Engineering ranked as the 25th-best graduate engineering program in the United States, and 12th among public institutions. That’s up from 26th and 13th in the previous rankings, released in spring 2022.

Jim Pfaendtner named Dean of the College of Engineering

Jim Pfaendtner has been named the Louis Martin-Vega Dean of the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University following a nationwide search. His appointment becomes effective August 1.
