Dr. Christine Grant, associate dean for faculty development and special initiatives and professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University, has received the 2011 Winifred Burks-Houck Women’s Professional Leadership Award from the National Organization for Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE).

Dr. Dan Gabriel Cacuci, professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at North Carolina State University, has received the 2011 Arthur Holly Compton Award from the American Nuclear Society (ANS). This award honors outstanding contributions to education in nuclear science and engineering.

Masnari, dean emeritus and distinguished professor of electrical and computer engineering at North Carolina State University, joined faculty and staff in Engineering Building II on March 18 to celebrate Masnari’s contributions to NC State and see for the first time a portrait created in his honor.
