The Russ and Susie O’Dell Distinguished Professorship

CBE alum Russ O’Dell (B.S. ‘75, Ph.D. ‘78), and his wife Susie O’Dell, have funded the Russ and Susie O’Dell Distinguished Professorship for the department. They are extremely pleased to be able to recognize a deserving professor while supporting undergraduate and graduate education and research.

Envisioning “Charlanta”

As the population of the Southeastern U.S. continues to grow and urbanize, it is projected that sprawl could create a continuous urban landscape stretching from Charlotte to Atlanta and beyond, dubbed “Charlanta.” In anticipation of such a megacity, the “Envisioning Urban Futures: Charlanta” symposium was held this past November.
