The Engineering Foundation exists to enable NC State’s place as one of the nation’s premier public colleges of engineering. We support the College of Engineering in acquiring and growing the financial resources necessary to achieve this through alumni engagement, public/private philanthropy and personal giving. Our board is dedicated to this vision and mission.

Six alumni and one student representative joined the NC State Engineering Foundation (NCSEF) Board of Directors in 2025:

  • John Amein, BSEE ‘84
  • Keisha Bickham, BSEE ‘00
  • Matthew Coffey (student), civil engineering degree expected 2026
  • Hakan Ozisik, B.S. ’82, M.S. ’86, Ph.D. ’89 in mechanical engineering
  • Dan Pleasant, B.S. ’72, M.S. ’73 in civil engineering
  • Jerry Tillman, BSCSC ’03
  • John Wolf, BSChE ‘95

Board members support the Foundation in a variety of ways. For example, two NCSEF board members hosted engineering alumni events this year. Jennifer Rhatigan BSME ‘87, organized an event for Denver-area alumni to network and meet Louis Martin-Vega Dean of Engineering Jim Pfaendtner. Steffanie Easter BSChE ‘85, put on a similar event in Washington, DC.

I have witnessed how the generosity of alumni directly benefits students and the college. I wish each of you could attend an endowment event and hear the student testimonials about how financial support for their education was lifechanging. If an NC State degree made a difference in your life, as it absolutely did in mine, I hope you will consider supporting the College of Engineering.

Go Pack!
