NC State Ranks as a Top 10 Best Value
Princeton Review has named NC State one of the top 10 best value public colleges in the nation.

NC State has made another impressive showing in Princeton Review’s annual rankings of the nation’s best colleges.
Princeton Review ranked NC State in the top 10 on two different best value lists. Among public schools that provide the best value for students with no demonstrated financial need, NC State jumped eight spots since last year’s ranking, from No. 18 to No. 6. And for best value overall among public schools, NC State ascended seven spots since 2024, from No. 16 to No. 9.
In addition, Princeton Review named NC State as one of the best public schools in the nation for internships. The university climbed one spot in this ranking since last year, coming in at No. 15.
Princeton Review’s overall best value ranking is based on a return-on-investment rating that includes data on starting and midcareer salaries, academic selectivity, admissions statistics, financial aid and cost of attendance. The best value ranking for students with no demonstrated financial need is based on the same information with the exception of data on need-based aid. Princeton Review’s ranking for internships is based on students’ ratings of the accessibility of internship placement at their school.
The complete list of Princeton Review’s rankings of NC State is available on the organization’s website.
