Alex Stone grew up with NC State in his blood. “My grandfather, a College alumnus, uncle, and mom all attended State. My wife is an NC State alumna, my father-in-law a College alumnus, and my brother-in-law a current student. I was born in Raleigh and rooted for the Wolfpack my whole life.”

High-Powered Rocketry Club wins altitude award at NASA competition

As their rocket climbed toward the sky outside NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., the NC State High-Powered Rocketry Club members watched it go up — and up, and up. 

The Rebecca C. Robbins Scholarship Endowment is given to students with a strong interest in research who are pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine with an emphasis in swine medicine.

Continuing a legacy of education

Three months after alumnus Jim Robbins established a scholarship for undergraduate civil engineering students at the NC State College of Engineering, he and his daughter, also an alumna, created the Rebecca C. Robbins Scholarship Endowment for the CVM.
