Keltie appointed Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs
Dr. Richard F. Keltie has been appointed associate dean for research and graduate programs in the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University.
Keltie’s position, effective July 1, follows an appointment as interim associate dean for research and graduate programs. He has also been associate dean for administration and academic planning as well as associate dean for academics in the College of Engineering.
Keltie began teaching courses as an assistant professor at NC State in mechanical and aerospace engineering in 1981 and was promoted to full professor in 1991.
His other positions include serving as director of the Center for Sound Vibration in mechanical and aerospace engineering and as associate head of the mechanical and aerospace engineering department. He is a member of NC State Academy of Outstanding Teachers, and he is a Fellow in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Keltie received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from NC State in 1973, 1975 and 1978, respectively.
