Anahid Behrouzi, a senior majoring in civil engineering and Spanish language and literature at North Carolina State University, has been awarded a graduate fellowship from Tau Beta Pi for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Behrouzi, an NC State Park Scholar, was honored for her scholastic achievements, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the field of engineering. She is the vice president of the Chi Epsilon honor society and the Society of Women Engineers. Behrouzi is also an Engineering Ambassador in the College of Engineering.

After graduation, Behrouzi plans to pursue graduate research in structural engineering analysis and design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
