Dickey recognized with two awards
Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Professor Michael Dickey recently received two important recognitions of his professional accomplishments.
First, Prof. Dickey received the 2023 Alumni Association Distinguished Graduate Professorship Award. According to the Alumni Association website, the award honors the “best of the best” in graduate-level teaching at NC State.
Second, Prof. Dickey received the 2023 NC State Outstanding Engagement Award. The award is designed to encourage and recognize outstanding extension, engagement, and economic development activities by NC State faculty and is “directly parallel in intent to the University’s Outstanding Teaching Awards” (which Prof. Dickey has also won).
Prof. Dickey’s other awards include the Alumni Association Outstanding Research Award, the Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor Award, and the Alcoa Foundation Distinguished Engineering Research Award, to name a few. He was a member of the inaugural class of University Faculty Scholars and because of his demonstrated success as a mentor for numerous undergraduate researchers, he received the inaugural Outstanding Research Mentor Award from the NC State Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR). The official award title is now the Michael Dickey Outstanding Research Mentor Award.
Congratulations to Professor Michael Dickey for your continuing excellence as a CBE research scholar and educator!
