The College of Engineering kicks off the Wolfpack Gives Back campaign

Faculty, staff and students in the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University kicked off the Wolfpack Gives Back campaign with an ice cream social that was held Sept. 17.

Dr. Louis A. Martin-Vega, dean of the College, and Debbie Allgood-Staton, campaign division leader and university business officer in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (both pictured to the far left) also joined the celebration. Members of the College enjoyed cups of Howling Cow ice cream, and many showed their appreciation with cash donations to Meals on Wheels.

The Wolfpack Gives Back effort is part of the annual State Employees Combined Campaign, which gives NC State employees an opportunity to make charitable donations to causes of their choice.  This year’s campaign goal is to increase participation on campus to 42 percent and raise $625,000.

Another ice cream social was held Sept. 19 in the Dean’s Conference Room in Engineering Building II on Centennial Campus.
