Thousands convene at fall 2016 engineering career fair

The fall 2016 NC State Engineering Career Fair was held at the Jane S. McKimmon Center for Extension and Continuing Education, September 20-21. This event sees thousands of students from NC State as well as other schools from across the United States. From freshman to graduate, the career fair has opportunities for all who attend, whether it is an internship, full-time employment, or networking experience.

Engineering Place’s Parry recognized for work in P12 engineering education

Elizabeth Parry, a partnership coordinator and instructor in First Year Engineering with The Engineering Place, was recognized earlier this month during the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) conference for her work improving outcomes at a Raleigh elementary school.

The College of Engineering hosted two outreach events in April in conjunction with the North Carolina Science Festival. The programs gave younger students a better understanding of scientific concepts and exposed them to life on campus.

College hosts two events for North Carolina Science Festival

The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University will open its doors to anyone with an interest in science and engineering during two events with a focus on nanotechnology, soft matter and microorganisms that thrive in extreme environments. NC State’s annual NanoDays event and an outreach event coordinated by the Research Triangle Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) will both be held on Wednesday, April 20 on NC State’s Centennial Campus.
