Sophomore Rylee Miller is an NC State cheerleader who is double-majoring in chemical engineering and paper science and engineering. Her days are busy, and as a scholarship recipient, she doesn’t have to worry about fitting a part-time job into her schedule.
“This will help free up my time to focus less on finances and more on being involved in things like career development events, interviews, service projects and more in the College of Engineering,” she said.
Miller received the Dean’s Circle Merit Scholarship, which is funded by donors who give annually to the College of Engineering. She is looking forward to taking more advanced courses this year while cheering on the Wolfpack and seeking out career development opportunities.
“My dream job is to work in a position that sees lots of innovation and change where I can serve in a hands-on role in progressing the company into the future and expanding our market share,” she said. “I would love to work with developing energy technology, possibly as part of a capital projects team or in a startup company.”
