About the Office of Faculty Development and Success (OFDS)

What constitutes the development of faculty members? Is it confined to the act of teaching a course, or does it involve a more structured and formalized approach? These were the questions that prompted the Office of Faculty Development and Success, formerly Engineering Faculty Advancement, to convene and reflect during the past summer.

What’s in a name?

Engineering Faculty Advancement (EFA) is pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2024, it was renamed Office of Faculty Development & Success (OFDS) to better reflect its commitment to advancing faculty success.
